Applications and Interviews:
Guest Services internship is unpaid but will provide free accommodation for the term of the internship. (Please note: Staff Accommodation is a taxable benefit)
We typically accept applications 2 months prior to the start date of the internship. So for example, if an internship was to start in January we would accept applications as early as November.
If you were to be selected, we would offer you an interview either in person or over the phone as we understand that you might not be in Whistler at the time of the interviews.
Internship Offer and Conditions:
If you are offered an internship you will be working full time from 30-40 hours a week.
Then Whistler Blackcomb will require the following information to hire you:
- Work Permit (if applicable)
- Social Insurance Number
- Criminal Record Check (if applicable)
- Photo Identification (Government issued, i.e., passport, driver's license, etc.)

- 25% off rentals before 11am.

Pass Admin Student Coordinator

Position Status: Unpaid internship: (Full-time workload 30-40 hours/week). This position comes with a pass allowing unlimited skiing and riding at Whistler Blackcomb
Job Description:
- To continually strive to exceed our Guests’ expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
- Assist with management of all Student Pass , Season Pass and Edge Card Programs
- Work with the Pass Admin team and the Youth Business Sales team to coordinate a smooth, well informed, easily executed Student Pass Campaign and fulfillment.
- Working with the Pass Admin team to manage the Student Inbox.
- Work as the Liase person for the UBC Student fulfillment day in Vancouver. Coordinating between Pass Admin, Youth Sales Team and UBC to arrange dates, table rentals, Internet hook up, staffing, transportation.
- To communicate all information and procedural changes to the front-line by email, phone and using our Intranet(PIPE).
- To assist Marketing in Student Pass, Season Pass and Edge Card promotions and communications.
- To provide helpdesk support to all RTP users: Employee Experience, Guest Relations, Audit, Retail, Events, Food and Beverage and Advance Sales Centre as well as Directors and Managers across the company.

- To suggest improvements for improving our Student Pass Campaign procedures.
- To assist in meeting the departmental objectives.
Qualifications :
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and Outlook.
- “Numbers” oriented – Previous Auditing/Accounting/Collections experience an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Previous work in busy office environment essential.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to change.
- Minimum 40 words per minute typing.
- Previous experience in Guest Relations/Ski School Sales/Reservations Centre an asset.
- Must be available to work 5 x 8 hour shifts, with some flexibility.
- RTP 1 experience an asset
- Proof of clear criminal record check.
Outcome:
- Experience in office environment and understanding of workflow between colleagues.
- Experience in liaison work involving, Pass Administration, Guest Relations and the Youth Business developers.
- Updating our in house Intranet with the most current information on all Student related products.
- Understanding of Pass Administration, Guest Relations, sales and fulfillment across all channels.
- Knowledge of and experience with a specific pass product from the Sales Roll out to frontline fulfillment.
- Knowledge of resort tourism industry and guest relations at Whistler Blackcomb.
Reports to: Pass Administration Supervisor and the Guest Services Manager of Pass Admin.
