Calendar:
We offer 5 paid internships a year for a 4 month period and 2 unpaid internships a year for a 3 month pediod from:
- Paid-Mid December to End April
- Unpaid-Mid October to Mid January

Applications and Interviews:
For Snow School paid internships will provide accommodation for the term of the internship at a discounted rate
For Snow School unpaid internships will provide free accommodation for the term of the internship (Please note: Staff accommodation is a taxable benefit) and a free CSIA or CASI certification
We typically accept applications 2 months prior to the start date of the internship. So for example, if an internship was to start in January we would accept applications as early as November.
If you were to be selected, we would offer you an interview either in person or over the phone as we understand that you might not be in Whistler at the time of the interviews.
Internship Offer and Conditions:
If you are offered an internship you will be working full time from 30-40 hours a week.
Then Whistler Blackcomb will require the following information to hire you:
- Work Permit (if applicable)
- Social Insurance Number
- Criminal Record Check (if applicable)
- Photo Identification (Government issued, i.e., passport, driver's license, etc.)

Seasons Pass
- As long as you remain an intern in good standing with Whistler Blackcomb you will have a season pass to access the mountains.
Retail

Winter Rentals
- 25% off rentals before 11am.
- 50% off rentals after 11am (except during peak periods such as Christmas, President's Week, Spring Break and Easter - it will just be 25% during the holiday periods)
- 25% off repairs with odd specials at 50% off
- 20% off at Tuning Centres ~Ski service is $25 and snowboard is $30 (could be more depending on damage)
Food & Beverage
- 50% off at all market style restaurants. (For on Mountain restaurants discount applies all day when on shift or when not at work all day except between 12-1:30pm)
- 20% discount at Merlin's, Dusty's and GLC seven days a week (not including liquor)
Snow School
- Free group lessons available when space allows in the right ability level
- 20% discount on all Ski School Programs such as: Dave Murray Camps, Private Lessons, Ski Esprit, Roxy Camps, Extremely Canadian and Telemark Lessons.
Whistler Kids Pod Assistant Intern (Unpaid)

Position Status: Unpaid internship. This position comes with a pass allowing unlimited skiing and riding, free accommodation, invaluable on-snow training opportunities and compensation for the cost of a CSIA or CASI certification.
Job Summary:
As a member of Whistler Kids you will report directly to the Whistler Kids Assistant Manger who oversees the operations at our Creekside facility and Club Programming. Main focus will be on the pre-season initiatives with all Club Programs.
Duties:
- Assistance to the Assistant Manager and Club Supervisors with the implementation of ALL Club Programs
- Update, design and forward the Whistler Kids Club Newsletter
- Work with families on wait lists for programs
- Create new events calendar for the 2011\12 season
- Detail each event to include the use of our flaik GPS system
- Assist in proof reading of all marketing and outgoing communication to our Club Families
- Work with Club Supervisors in the organization of the First Day
- Participate in our Whistler Kids training on and off hill
- Other projects to be determined
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Whistler Blackcomb Products & Services and passionate towards the industy
- Thorough knowledge of the Internet medium and proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be organized and be able to manage a variety of projects
- Must work well in a fast-paced, challenging environment with minimal supervision and be self motivated.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be mature and well-groomed

- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Previous Whistler Blackcomb experience an asset.
Outcome:
