Programs and Guidelines
To make your stay in HOUSE as safe and enjoyable as possible, the HOUSE Team has put the following programs and guidelines in place.
HOUSE Advisor Program
Our goal at HOUSE is to continually evolve the HOUSE Community through planned programs (social, recreational and community oriented), peer support and community outreach.
House Advisors
The HOUSE Advisors are employees of Whistler Blackcomb who have been selected, hired and trained by the HOUSE Department to help assist you in your transition to the company and to the beautiful community of Whistler. The HOUSE Advisors are live-in staff members who are available and on-call to help you with any questions or concerns that may arise during your season with Whistler Blackcomb. The HOUSE Advisors are also authorised to take appropriate action in representing the standards of HOUSE and Whistler Blackcomb. They are here to help protect the welfare of all residents.
Sammy's Snacks
HOUSE is proud to provide a low-cost, in-HOUSE option for basic grocery needs. Sammy's Snacks, in our Overlord House (across from the HOUSE office), carries a variety of products commonly used by our residents. From toilet paper to candy bars, Sammy's Snacks is our way of helping you afford life in Whistler.
The Serious Stuff...
- All of our accommodation is NON-SMOKING.
- No pets of any kind are allowed on the premises.
- HOUSE operates under the Hotel Act and reserves the right to enter units at any time.
- Units must be left in clean condition. The last person to vacate a unit will be held responsible for any cleaning charges or damages. If other people are responsible, it is up to the people in the unit to bring concerns to the attention of the Office immediately.
Termination
Immediate termination of the use agreement and possible termination of employment with Whistler Blackcomb will occur if the guest:
- is involved in any illegal activity or is an accessory to any illegal activity, including but not limited to:
- Illegal drugs
- Vandalism
- Violence or threats of violence
- Tampering with fire safety equipment (including smoke detectors)
- Theft
- Is found to have been smoking within the unit, the Common Areas or the Building
- Fails to vacate the Building during a fire alarm and/or puts oneself or anyone else's safety in jeopardy.
- In addition, you are responsible for any guests that are on the property with you. Any activity that they take part in is your responsibility and you will be held liable.
As a member of the HOUSE Community, it is up to you to prevent others from engaging in such activities and to let any HOUSE Team member know about these activities.
