The Whistler Blackcomb Sponsorship Program is back for ski & snowboard instructors for the 2009/2010 winter season.
This site contains important information for sponsored instructors, both new and returning to the program. Please be sure to review all the details carefully to ensure you have all the necessary information.

Upcoming 2009/2010 Winter Season

If you are a returning staff applying for Sponsorship, we are no longer accepting applications for winter 2009/2010.  The application is now CLOSED.   

 

Ski and Snowboard School Sponsorship Requirements

 

SKI INSTRUCTORS

• Minimum 2 full seasons teaching at a ski resort as a Full Time instructor 
• Minimum level 2 CSIA (or foreign equivalent)
• Interview for staff never worked at WB/ Recommendation from manager for staff who have worked for WB

SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTORS

• Minimum 2 seasons teaching at a ski resort as a Full Time instructor
• Of those 2+ seasons, must have at least 1 season teaching snowboarding full time at Whistler Blackcomb
• Minimum level 2 CASI (or foreign equivalent)
• Interview for staff never worked at WB/ Recommendation from manager for staff who have worked for WB

 

Validations

HRSDC approves the applications and sends us your individual validations within 4-6 weeks. We then mail these to you as part of your document package  you will require these validations to apply for your visa. Your individual validations also arrive at your designated Missions (consulates) Abroad. You are then able to apply for your visa at your designated Mission.
