Whistler Blackcomb's dedicated learning centres and programs with the Whistler Kids Snow School, specially designed terrain gardens and family zones, an enchanted Tree Fort and Magic Castle ensure that any time is a good time for a “Family Certified” experience  on Whistler Blackcomb.

Look for the “Family Certified” icon in various locations throughout the resort to let you know that you are in a family-friendly zone.

Once the day’s on-mountain adventures are done, the village is packed with family-friendly activities. Restaurants and bars like the GLC, Merlin’s and Dusty’s Bar & BBQ welcome kids until 8pm and give everyone a chance to enjoy après. And for those with energy to spare, skate circles around one another at the outdoor skating rink at Olympic Plaza, and experience the thrill of the Coca-Cola® Tube Park.

Whistler Blackcomb’s Family Zone on Whistler Mountain is the perfect place for families and beginners. Traffic flow is designed to move slower to provide a comfortable environment, while access to the terrain park and the Family Zone is separated, ensuring that everyone can head to their own favourite spots safely. Marked on the trail map in yellow, and with signage on the mountains, keep your eyes peeled for slow zones on Whistler and Blackcomb.

Nintendo Big Easy Terrain Garden

Designed for skiers and riders learning how to use park features, the Terrain Garden is the first stop in our park progression. 3,116 feet long, with a 574-foot vertical drop, it features smaller versions of rails, rollers and mini-hits and is groomed nightly. The Terrain Garden is located on Blackcomb.

In all of the on-mountain restaurants, some ‘regular’ menu items have an option for a smaller Kid Size portions. Located in the Family Zone on Whistler Mountain at the bottom of Upper Whisky Jack, the Chic Pea cabin has a huge sun deck and serves world-renowned cinnamon buns. This is the perfect meeting spot for lunch, mid afternoon family snack, or hot chocolate.

Coca-Cola®  Tube Park

Located in the Base II on Blackcomb Mountain, the Coca-Cola® Tube Park offers great fun for the whole family. The Tube Park has eight lanes varying in speeds from green to blue to black. In between runs, refuel with snacks and drinks or warm up at the open-air fire pit. Minimum height restriction is 36”. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. More Information »

Whistler Blackcomb turns up the heat on Sundays through the season with a free, exhilarating Fire and Ice Show. Who can resist fireworks and fire spinner – especially when snowflakes fill the air?
