THE WHISTLER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE

December 21 - January 6, 2013 (Closed December 25 & 31)
Hosted in the Whistler Conference Centre from December 21 to January 6 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, this FREE family fun zone is unparalleled for indoor entertainment and festive activities! Enjoy mini-golf, bouncy castles and video games for the whole family to experience.


DRESS LIKE SANTA AND SKI FOR FREE

December 22
Dress like Santa and Mrs. Claus and bring the festive fun to the slopes. A free lift ticket will be awarded to the first 75 people to arrive at the Garibaldi Lift Company, at the base of Whistler Mountain, in full Santa or Mrs. Claus attire. All Santa and Mrs. Claus's will upload the Fitzsimmons Express at 8 AM, continue up Garbanzo Express, then ride or ski to the bottom of the Emerald Express for a group photo.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AND WINTER WONDERLAND ART EXHIBIT

December 18 to January 7, 2013
The Whistler Arts Council presents the third annual Whistler Festival of Lights at Scotia Creek Gallery in Millennium Place featuring the ambient glow of lanterns, light sculptures and a local artist exhibit.



Fire and Ice Show

FIRE AND ICE SHOW - FREE!

December 23, 30, 31 & January 2013
Watch world-class athletes flipping and twisting through a burning ring of fire and finish with a first class fireworks display. The Fire and Ice Show is performed by top members of Whistler Blackcomb's Ski & Snowboard School. This free, legendary show kicks off at 6:30 PM every Sunday (7:30pm for New Year's Eve Special Show) to March 31 in Skier's Plaza at the base of Whistler Mountain. More Information »

MONSTER THEATRE PRESENTS: A CHRISTMAS CAROL

December 22, 2013 at 7pm  |  Children's craft station at 5:30pm
Using puppetry, masks, improv, original songs, physical comedy, satire and good old-fashioned storytelling, Monster Theatre will expose young audiences to classics of literature from around the world. Featuring bookish Ryan and clownish Tara, they present stories in a way that gets kids excited to dive into books themselves, and perhaps even to try and adapt their favourite books in the Monster Theatre style.

Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre Holiday Events

The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre is an authentic cultural activity for the whole family. It was created to celebrate the joint history of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations. SKATING AT WHISTLER OLYMPIC PLAZA

Whistler Olympic Plaza is the site where the best athletes in the world stepped up to the podium at Victory Ceremonies during the 2010 Winter Games. Open starting mid-December. Hours of operation for free public skating are 11am - 9pm daily with exceptions on holidays or when the Olympic Plaza is booked for private functions. Rentals are available for $5.00 from 11am - 2 pm and in the evenings from 6pm – 9pm.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING

December 24, 6:30 - 7:30 PM
The 30th annual Christmas Eve Carol Service takes place at 6:30 pm in Whistler village at the Westin Resort and Spa. Hosted by the Whistler Children's Chorus, this interdenominational celebration features traditional carols, choral music sung by the choirs and readings. Come and enjoy the sense of community and 'peace and goodwill toward all' that this carol service creates. this event is by donation. All proceeds go towards continuing to be able to provide this community service.
