DRESS LIKE SANTA AND SKI FOR FREE

December 13, 2014
Dress like Santa and Mrs. Claus and bring the festive fun to the slopes. A free lift ticket will be awarded to the first 100 people to arrive at the Garibaldi Lift Company, at the base of Whistler Mountain, in full Santa or Mrs. Claus attire. All Santa and Mrs. Claus's will upload the Whistler Village Gondola at 8am, then ride or ski to the bottom of the Emerald Express for a group photo.

THE WHISTLER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE

December 19, 2014 - January 4, 2015 | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Whistler Conference Centre
This family fun zone is unparalleled for indoor entertainment! Kids can enjoy a mini putt course, table games, bouncy castles, crafts and video games free over the holiday season. Santa often makes an appearance before Christmas along with other performances and entertainers. Parents can relax in the lounge area and enjoy a coffee or hot cocoa while the kids play. Please note The Holiday Experience is usually closed December 25, and December 31 to prepare for the New Year’s Celebrations.


SKATING WITH SANTA

December 21, 2014 | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Whistler Olympic Plaza
Join Santa on the ice at Whistler Olympic Plaza with your family.  Santa will be available for photo opportunities and there will be hot chocolate, cookies and holiday crafts to celebrate this festive season. Hours of operation for free public skating are 11am - 9pm daily with exceptions on holidays.  Skate rentals are available for $5.00 from 11am - 2 pm, 3pm - 5:30pm and in the evenings from 6pm – 9pm. Push bars available for anyone learning to skate - helmets are encouraged for beginners and are available at no charge.

Fire and Ice Show

FIRE AND ICE SHOW - FREE!

Watch world-class athletes flipping and twisting through a burning ring of fire and finish with a first class fireworks display. The Fire and Ice Show is performed by top members of Whistler Blackcomb's Ski & Snowboard School. This free, legendary show kicks off at 6:30 PM every Sunday (11:30pm for New Year's Eve Special Show followed by fireworks at midnight) to March 30 in Skier's Plaza at the base of Whistler Mountain. CHRISTMAS EVE CAROL SERVICE

December 24, 6:30 - 7:30 PM | The Westin Resort & Spa
The 31st annual Christmas Eve Carol Service takes place at 6:30 pm in Whistler village at the Westin Resort and Spa. Hosted by the Whistler Children's Chorus and Whistler Singers, this interdenominational celebration features traditional carols, choral music sung by the choirs and readings. Come and enjoy the sense of community and 'peace and goodwill toward all' that this carol service creates. this event is by donation. All proceeds go towards continuing to be able to provide this community service.

Say goodbye to the old and welcome the new at this alcohol-free evening of family entertainment and celebration in Whistler Village. Includes a special party area for kids and a New Year’s Eve Kids Countdown at 9:00 PM. No need to drive - take advantage of the free, extended Whistler Transit Service on New Year’s Eve from 6 PM until late.   • GET UP EARLY and enjoy great morning conditions on the mountains.
  • STAY UP and don’t return back to the Village until after 11am to avoid lift lines.
  • EAT SMART and have lunch on the mountains before 11:30am or after 1:30pm.
  • RENT SMART and rent your ski equipment the night before so you’re ready to go in the morning.
