Whistler, BC - Christmas will come early to Whistler this holiday season. On Saturday, December 18, Whistler Blackcomb welcomes anyone dressed up in a full Santa or Mrs. Claus costume to ski or ride for free.
To qualify, skiers and riders must arrive dressed in their very best Santa and Mrs. Claus attire, this means red or black pants or a skirt for Mrs. Claus, a red jacket with white trim, a black belt, a beard for Santa and of course, a Santa or Mrs. Claus hat. Meeting time for all Santa and Mrs. Claus' is 8:30am sharp on the patio of the Garibaldi Lift Company at the base of Whistler Mountain. Free lift tickets will be distributed at this time for eligible costumes.
"We are really excited about the holiday season here at Whistler Blackcomb, this is a great way to spread Christmas spirit throughout our mountain community," says Stuart Rempel, Senior VP of Marketing and Sales, Whistler Blackcomb. "Last year we saw Santas from as far away as Utah."
The day will begin with a run down Whistler Mountain where the best costume will be awarded with a new pair of skis or a snowboard. After the contest each Santa and Mrs. Claus will have the rest of their day free to ski or ride on either Whistler and/or Blackcomb.
