Local's Appreciation Day

WHISTLER, BC, June 13, 2005 - Whistler Blackcomb will host an exclusive day for locals on Sunday, June 26. All locals from Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish and Mt. Currie will be treated to a free day of sightseeing on Whistler via the village gondola. Locals will also be able to take a free ride on the Peak Chair to experience the brand new Peak Adventure opening for the first time this summer. Mountain biking in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park and the Magic Bike Park at the base of Blackcomb will also be free, as well as face painting, mini golf, Nordic Walking Pole demos and Outdoor Adventures ATV tours.

How to Take Part

Locals are required to bring picture ID with a valid Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish or Mt. Currie address to the Local's Day tent located outside the Blackcomb Daylodge, or the Whistler Village Gondola Building in order to receive a Local's Passport. Picture ID can also be combined with a letter, bill or invoice indicating a local address. Locals Day perks will not be available without the Local's Day Passport.
