Whistler Blackcomb Announces Partnership with Tasteof604.com to Help Guests Maximize their Dining Experience

Whistler Blackcomb has launched a new microsite, on Whisterblackcomb.com, powered by Tasteof604.com, with information on all on-mountain and village restaurants. The site allows guests to sort restaurants by cuisine or price, preview menus, book reservations on-line, review a previous diner's comments as well as post their own comments.

"This is an exciting addition to the Whistler Blackcomb website," says Karla Grenon, Interactive Marketing Manager at Whistler Blackcomb. "We're always striving to provide the most thorough and helpful information possible on our website and this microsite fits the bill perfectly. Guests that have never been to Whistler before will have a great online resource to plan their meals, while guests that frequent Whistler will be able to use the site to learn of a hidden gem they perhaps haven't found yet."

Tasteof604.com is the ultimate guide for food and drink in Vancouver. It has one of the most complete databases of restaurants in the Greater Vancouver and surrounding area, and has provided restaurant listings for key city portals.

"In addition to giving users access to contact information, maps, photos, and menus, the site also offers extensive functionality," says Tom Ng of Tasteof604.com. "Users can read and write reviews, make online reservations, and access promotional coupons. Through Tasteof604.com we really aim to connect people who love to dine out with restaurants in the city."

Traditional magazine restaurant ratings are alive and well as Sunset Magazine proved, ranking Blackcomb Mountain's Crystal Hut one of North America's Top Ten Mountain-Top Restaurants. The Crystal Hut's specialty are Belgian-style waffles topped with fruit, chocolate, fresh whipped cream and syrup.  The Crystal Hut is located at 6,053 feet at the top of Crystal Chair.

The restaurant guide can be accessed from whistlerblackcomb.com by clicking on the "Things to Do" menu bar and then selecting "Restaurants." The URL is http://restaurants.whistlerblackcomb.com.

Consistently ranked as North America's top ski and snowboard resort, Whistler Blackcomb continues to raise the level of mountain excitement for its guests. With the landmark Peak to Peak Gondola project underway, the return of the popular Symphony Amphitheatre, and a host of other on-mountain improvements, this winter promises to be one of the most exciting yet. Located a scenic two-hour drive north of Vancouver up the spectacular 'Sea to Sky' Highway, this resort is home to the continent's two greatest vertical-rise ski mountains – Whistler and Blackcomb. With over 17 alpine bowls, four glaciers, 200 trails, 8,171 acres of skiable terrain and a one mile vertical rise, the choices of where and what to ski/ride at Whistler Blackcomb from beginner to advanced terrain are staggering. Joined at the base by a vibrant pedestrian village filled with restaurants, patios, cafes, shops, galleries and spas, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this four season resort is spectacular.
