Whistler Blackcomb's legendary Turkey Sales returns October 10-13. The largest sale of its kind in Canada packs 20,000 square feet with ski and snowboard sporting equipment at up to 70 per cent off. The Blackcomb Daylodge at the base of Blackcomb Mountain is the home of the sale and is staffed by Whistler locals ready to help source the right equipment for customers' needs this winter.

"For many Whistler and Vancouverites the Whistler Blackcomb Turkey Sale marks the unofficial start of the winter season," says Josh Buchanan, Merchandising Manager of Retail Operations at Whistler Blackcomb. "It's a very exciting time of year as everyone is pulling out their gear from last year and figuring out what they need to get ready for the upcoming season. If people need anything, and I mean anything for the upcoming season, whether it's gear, clothing or gadgets, this is the time and place to buy."

The sale starts Friday, October 13 with "Local's Only" access from noon to 9:00pm. Saturday, October 11 the doors open at 9:00am through to 6:00pm and again on Sunday, October 12. The last day of the sale is Monday, October 13 with the doors open from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC) will be holding their annual Ski & Snowboard Swap during the Turkey Sale. Located in the large tent next to the Blackcomb Daylodge, the WMSC provides an opportunity to sell used gear or find a second hand bargain.
