Powder revelers enjoy 82 centimetres (32 inches) of snow in four days as resort experiences its best snowfall of the season. Skiers and riders have enjoyed consecutive powder days all this week as a heavy storm bombarded Whistler Blackcomb with the best snowfall of the season in what has been described as the resort's very own stimulus package. The mountains have been blanketed with 82 centimetres (32 inches) of snow in four days – a season record.
Symphony Bowl and the Peak Chair on Whistler Mountain are set to open Saturday, January 24 in addition to Blackcomb Glacier which opened Thursday, January 22. These three areas combined add over 1,700 acres of skiing and riding terrain, bringing the total skiable acres at Whistler Blackcomb to 7,000.
