Park party in the Nintendo Highest Level Terrain Park - sign up to throw-down or stop by to bro-down

WHISTLER, BC, March 16, 2010 – Whistler Blackcomb’s 13th annual Showcase Showdown, this year presented by Burton, is set to hit Blackcomb Mountain Saturday, April 3, 2010. The all-day competition is heading to the terrain park for the first time in its 13 year history, bringing the party to the park.

This year the Showcase Showdown takes place in the Nintendo Terrain Park on Blackcomb Mountain and features a combination of Big Air and a blast from Showdowns past - a quaterpipe with re-entry features.

“With the BBQ blazing, chili bubbling and tunes blasting, this will be a party the highest level park will never forget”, says Graham Turner, founder of Showcase Snowboards. “As always, our main purpose is to give back to the local riders that have supported Showcase Snowboards over the past 20 years and to build a super fun course with the support of Brad Broughton, Showcase Team Manager, the Whistler Blackcomb Terrain Park team and their world class Groomers”.

Riders will compete for their share of $5,000 in cold hard cash plus luggage from Da Kine and swag from Sandbox, as well as a Samsung LCD big screen TV awarded for Best Trick.

The entry fee to compete in the event is $60 and is open to riders of all ages (lift ticket not included). The entry fee includes a Showdown Bib, Vans Waffle Breakfast, Forum Chili Dog with pop at the event and a ticket to the Showcase VIP 20 year anniversary party at the GLC hosted by Thirty Two.
