Full Stride

Hello all you inquisitive skiers and riders out there, finally, here is your Parks Report.

What an insane couple weeks we've just had. Tons of powder, mad beanin', and perfect blue bird park days. What a great time to be up on the mountains. More sun in our forecast for this week to come as well.

Blackcomb

The halfpipe will be closed this week for a rebuild. Steve Petrie of Arena Snowparks started the rebuild Sunday night, and should have it finished and ready for us to all shred on Saturday. The Highest Level has also had a bit of a face-lift over the past week. The cannon box has been tweaked a bit and riders are sending it off that. The Shack Booter (which will be the qualifier jump for the Festival Big Air) had it's takeoff jacked up, with a taller, longer landing as well (It's currently weighing in at about 55 feet). Come practice kids. The Highest Level also has a new rail combo, and the jail bar has been set as a down at the bottom of the HL just before you get back on Catskinner.

Whistler

The upper jib-zone at the top of Emerald Chair is back in full effect. Up there we've got a Barrel bonk, 1 real low skate style flat bar, big down box and a skinnier down ledge & butter jib roller to finish it off.

• The Quarter / Log Stall is back up after the Chute jump (gap like last year – photos to come)
• Chipmunk has a new jump in the Medium line, along with a QP and Battleship rail at the end of the line.
• Bobcat still has all the little extras left over from the Slopestyle as well

Events

King Of The Rail, and Park Rider Slopestyle Presented by TELUS went off this weekend. An overwhelming amount of riders and skiers came out for both, and the level of riding was some of the best ever. Thanks to the Events team for making these go so smoothly.

Parks Spring/Summer Schedules

We will be concentrating our efforts this spring with a strong team to bring you an amazing spring/glacier season. Whistler park will be in operation through April 13. On Blackcomb the park will stay open until May 18th with the Highest level, Choker, and the Super Pipe, which is being rebuilt right now for Spring. The park will re open for summer riding June 20 on the Horstman Glacier.
