Post Olympic Updates

Hey Park riders, sorry for the lag in my updates, I am guilty of being lazy in the wake of the Olympics. The come-down from the Hockey Game was tough to recover from. While I was busy waving my flag the crew came back from Cypress and got right back to work. Having Marty, Olex and Anto back in their cats gave all of our lines a little boost. Don’t get me wrong, the crew that was here all through the Games was killing it. Dave, KC, Rene, Mike, Lucas, Stevie, Jay and the rest of the pushers did a great job and built some of the most innovative features we have ever had in the Parks. It is just nice to have the family back together again for spring.

If you are tired of watching comps and want to get in some high stakes action, then put these dates on your iCalendar. In March and April we are brining back the action with the return of the Park rider sessions. March 21st we have a Pipe comp on Blackcomb so whether you have double corks or not come out and show us your stuff. Skiers, it is your chance to show us why skier pipe needs to be included in the 2014 plans! April rolls around shortly and with it, the return of the Showcase Showdown. Saturday April 3rd the Showdown drops and will be “The Party in the Park”, taking place in the HL on Blackcomb with a new custom build just for the event. The TWSSF comes to town taking over your mind and body April 16th to 25th and during that pro show we are having the last Park Rider Slopestyle event of the season on Whistler. Tradition has people get dressed up in retro one piece suits for closing day so dig out your dad’s (or mom’s) best retro and be there for the comp on closing day April 18th.

The season is far from over, with pow days forecast for this week and plenty of sunshine and goggle tanning to come. I love this time of year; would someone shovel out the bowl so we can get going with shred and skate sessions once daylight savings hits this weekend?

See you in the Park. - B
