A message from the Director

One of the most rewarding aspects of making these films is having the opportunity to surround ourselves with a group of talented, creative, and not to mention, amazingly goofy people. We never quite know what to expect and are always impressed.

Living in Whistler has given us the opportunity to shoot a wide diversity of terrain; from mother nature's pillow lines to precisely sculpted park jumps, we have it all. Last winter seemed endless. With accessibility to snow from November until July we were able to enjoy mid-winter powder turns followed several shirtless summer park days on the glacier.

Our most successful shoot of 2009 was the P2P step-over jump in April. Our group of skiers and snowboarders included Warren Williams, Joe and Cam Schuster, Max Hill, Andrew Jackson and Josh Stack. When we arrived at the jump the conditions were less than favourable. It was as though we stepped in a boxing ring with el nino on steroids. Our only opportunity for light would be just before sunset. Much to our relief the sun poked out beneath the storm clouds and we were given 30 minutes of vibrant colours and diffused light... perfect.

Voleurz Extra: Episode 18-"Head Bangers"

Joe and Cam Schuster came to Whistler for a sunset park shoot and undoubtedly slayed the gap jump in true Schu family fashion. The next morning, however, called for some voleurz minishred on one of the final days of the Blackcomb park. In this episode they join Turpin, Bibby, and Hill as they bang heads and slide rails in sunny spring slush.
