PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola Commemorative Artwork

Congratulations to Vanessa Stark whose original artwork has been chosen as the winner of the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola Commemorative Poster Contest. Vanessa's artwork will be incorporated into a poster and given away during the PEAK 2 PEAK launch celebrations on December 12, 2008. Congratulations Vanessa!

We were overwhelmed with the level of interest in this contest, and the amazing talent that resides within the Whistler community! We received 25 entries and so the task of choosing just one has proven to be extremely difficult. Many of the pieces were stunning, and we were truly inspired.

The judging panel was comprised of Stuart Rempel, senior vice president of marketing and sales at Whistler Blackcomb, Meredith Armstrong, brand marketing manager at Whistler Blackcomb, Doti Niedermayer, executive director of the Whistler Arts Council, Kasi Lubin, co-founder and Board member of the Whistler Film Festival and PEAK 2 PEAK launch producer, and Danielle Kristmanson, principal and creative director of Origin Design & Communications.

We would like to thank every artist for their participation in the contest, and each artist will be invited to display their entry in a gallery at the Roundhouse Lodge during the PEAK 2 PEAK launch weekend.
