Winter 2013/2014 Season:November 18, 2013 - March 31, 2014
Your Skeleton Slide Experience will begin with a sport orientation, including helmet fitting, sled positioning, sliding session walk-through, track etiquette, and safety guidelines. Then it is time for action as you head out to the track and up to the Maple Leaf start position, 1/3 of the way up the track. Track Crew will meet you there to go through the final checks before you begin your journey down. Once you’ve been given the green light, a Track Crew member will secure your sled as you climb on, releasing you for the run of your life when you are ready. As you accelerate down the track you will pass through six corners, expecting to reach 90-100 km/hr by the time you race through the famous Thunderbird corner at the bottom of the track. You will enter into the uphill outrun and slow to a stop at the finish, where the Track Crew will be ready to assist you to exit the track and grab your sled.
Get ready for the experience of a lifetime! Your 2 hour journey begins with specific education about the sport of bobsleigh, its’ equipment and dynamics, as well as some key instructional skills will give you the tools to get down the track safely. After orientation, you will be shuttled up the track to your start position. You will then take a run from the Novice Start position (1/2 of the way up the track), expecting to reach 115-125 km/hr by the time you race through the famous Thunderbird corner at the bottom of the track. You will enter into the uphill outrun and slow to a stop at the finish dock, where the Track Crew will be ready to assist your exit from the sled.
Please Note: Each bobsleigh must contain three passengers. We will do our best to make sure people are with their group where possible, but we cannot guarantee that groups will be able to ride in the same bobsleigh on a busy session.
