Ziplining - Ziptrek Ecotours

It’s not a coincidence that the #1 ski resort and the #1 zipline tour in North America are located in the same place. Whistler is a unique, pristine and thrilling destination which is the perfect backdrop for the originators of North America’s zipline eco-tour.

Ziptrek Ecotours has thrilled hundreds of thousands of visitors year round and in all weather. In five years of operation, Ziptrek has evolved from a trend setting 5 cable zipline tour, to offering multiple eco-activities directly between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains!

The tour area now boasts 7 suspension bridges, 2 rigid aerial bridges, 10 treetop viewing platforms and a total of 10 ziplines divided between 2 tours. Experience the exhilaration of stepping off a platform, sailing 2300’ through air, dropping over 20 stories from start to finish on one of the world’s longest tree to tree ziplines, while reaching speeds of up to 80 km/hr (up to 60mph)!

The ride is smooth as you glide through the ancient coastal temperate rainforest and over the rushing whitewater of Fitzsimmons Creek. Ziptrek Ecotours combines the thrill of adventure with an educational component that allows visitors to learn about mountain ecology and sustainability while encouraging participants to do their part for the environment.

From Ziptrek's base in Whistler Village, the tour lasts approx 2.5-3 hours. It is fun, safe and perfect for all ages.

Restrictions:
* Minimum age for tour is 6 years old.
* Guests must be a minimum of 65 pounds (30 kilos) and a maximum of 275 pounds (125 kilos).
* Guests under the minimum weight can zip tandem on the Bear Tour with a professional Ziptrek guide only.
* Youths must be accompained by an adult.

Note: Due to seasonality, daylight hours and a variety of other factors, Ziptrek's tour schedule is flexible. Ziptrek will provide the confirmed time of the tour booked with confirmation number.

	Superior accommodations geared toward the discriminating traveler offering excellent hospitality and customer service. They may offer a wider range of amenities and services.

	Comfortable accommodations offering average facilities and services with amenities.

	Modest accommodations suitable for those seeking value over atmosphere. They may offer limited on-site facilities and services.



	Indicates an accommodation choice that falls between full-star ratings.

Villas/Condos	These independently owned and unique properties may not include all the amenities of a hotel and will vary from unit to unit. The star rating should be used as a guideline for general comparison.

Our star ratings are based on many factors including, but not limited to, accommodations, facilities, services, price and overall quality. These star ratings are updated as frequently as possible but cannot be guaranteed accurate. They are intended only as a guide to help with your vacation planning decisions.

Condominium	Condominiums range from 3 to 4 star ratings and are multi-storey properties with numerous units and a wide range of amenities. Units within a condominium are generally self-contained with their own kitchen and laundry facilities, have a central check-in, common area entrance, and facilities.
Home	Home's include large detached privately owned houses outside of the main villages. They typically sit on their own private property with no central check-in or front desk and have limited amenities. They generally offer a 4 or 5 star rating and are entirely self-contained.
Hotel	Hotels vary from 3 to 5 star ratings and generally have a central check-in, front desk and concierge services. Depending on the property's star rating, hotels will also have a wider range of amenities including pool, hot tubs, restaurants and spas.
Lodge	Lodges range from 3 to 4 star ratings with numerous units and a wide range of amenities. Units within a lodge are usually self contained with their own kitchen and laundry facilities, have a central check-in and common area entrance and amenities such as a pool and hot tub.
Small Mountain Inn	Small Mountain Inns include Bed & Breakfast’s and small properties with few rooms and limited amenities.
Townhome	Townhomes include multi-unit developments of semi-detached units with private entrances. Townhomes are self-contained with private kitchen and laundry facilities, private entrances and common amenities such as pool or hot tubs.
