The Whistler Winter Arts Festival is a dynamic month of live music, aerial dance, theatre, snow sculpting, film screenings, art and photography exhibitions, and literary soirees, under the sun or under the stars. This year features free outdoor performances by famous Canadian musicians, storytelling events, original short films from BC filmmakers, an exhibition of regional art, and the return of the Canadian Snowsculpting Team in a showdown with teams from across the country!

IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals
Whistler Mountain

International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals Mar. 9-14, 2009 The world's top Paralympic Alpine skiers will gather in Whistler to wrap up their competition season at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals. Approximately 100 athletes from 16 countries are expected to compete in downhill, super-G, super-combined, giant slalom and slalom races over four days to determine the overall World Cup champions for the 2008.09 season. Athlete classes include standing, sitting and visually impaired. Come and support these world-class athletes in their last major competition of the season

No racing experience is required to join in on the fun of recreational racing. All you need is the desire to participate and we'll look after the rest.

Park Rider Sessions presented by TELUS featuring Slopestyle, Rail Jams and Halfpipe will take place on both mountains utilizing the best terrain available. Competitions open to skiers and snowboarders, all ages welcome. Helmets mandatory

Atomic Ski and Snowboard Cross

The Atomic Ski and Snowboard Supercross events are recreational competitions open to all ages. Amateur skiers and boarders will compete in different divisions on the Nintendo Terrain Park Snowcross course

Please note: the Supercross events are 2 day events - competitiors must particpate on both days.

7-Eleven Fire and Ice Show
Base of Whistler Village Gondola

Whistler Blackcomb turns up the heat every Sunday night with the 7-Eleven Fire & Ice Show at 6:30pm at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola. Fire spinners, fire works and Ski and Snowboard school's hottest pros throwing down big air through a ring of fire makes this event a family-friendly must do. After the show, head upstairs to the GLC's notorious Afterburn Party.
