From beginners to experts, the Biathlon Series is an excellent opportunity to experience biathlon and test your cross-country skiing and shooting skills in a fun environment. Similar to a sprint competition, each participant will ski three loops of a course, with two shooting bouts in-between. These events are open to all members of the public, ages 8 and up. Takes place at the Whistler Olympic Park. Cost to participate is $25.

Portland Taiko is a premier Pacific Northwest drum ensemble. "Taiko," meaning drum and an art form, is deeply rooted in ancient Japanese tradition and combines rhythm, movement, energy and culture into a single art form. Portland Taiko's aspiration is to create a taiko performance of the highest artistic quality with a strong and beautiful voice for all to enjoy. Whistler Orientation Tour: Meet at the Guest Satisfaction Centre at the Alpine Lightboard (top of the Whistler Village Gondola)
Blackcomb Orientation Tour & Blackcomb Glacier Tour: Meet at the Guest Satisfaction Centre (top of the Solar Coaster Express)
Daily: Free Avalanche Awareness Tours
The tours meet every day outside the Avalanche Awareness Center at the top of Solar Coaster. Meeting Time: 12:30pm.
Free daily Avalanche Awareness Tours are run by the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol, these half day tours cover:
- Safe travel
- Terrain evaluation
- Avalanche phenomenon
- Control measures within W/B boundary
- Avalanche safety equipment (they get to play with shovels, avalanche transceiver, probes etc)
- Rescue techniques
This tour stays in-bounds the whole time. Those wishing to take part must be able to ski/ride a blue run (intermediate run) comfortably to join tours.
