Olympic Games Torch Relay - Friday, February 5, 2010

On February 5, the Olympic Flame will begin its journey through Whistler on the 99th day of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. Celebrations in Whistler village include performance by Barney Bentall and the Grand Cariboo Opry at the Village Square Apres stage.

Winter Olympic Games - February 12-28, 2010

Olympic Victory Ceremonies will be held every night from February 14 to February 28, 2010 at the Whistler Olympic Celebration Plaza.The venue will feature a large video screens to link the nightly Olympic Victory Ceremony presentations in Whistler and Vancouver. Medals won in Whistler will be presented at the Whistler Olympic Celebration Plaza before a live audience of 8,000. Each night the Victory Ceremonies will be followed by a live concert.

Kokanee Kabin - February 12-28, 2010

For 17 days in February, it’s endless après at the Kokanee Kabin. Come and party with Glacier Girls, check out regular shows by local legends The Hairfarmers, and of course enjoy a pint of Glacier Fresh Kokanee, the official beer of Whistler Blackcomb.

TEDxWhistler: Tourism's Place in a Sustainable World - Thursday February 18, 2010

On February 18, during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the Whistler Centre for Sustainability will host TEDxWhistler: Tourism's Place in a Sustainable World – a live event that will be webcast across the country and around the world featuring thought leaders in tourism and sustainability.

Presenters will be given up to 18 minutes to deliver their most compelling talks related to the theme and two recorded TEDTalks will also be selected from the hundreds of inspiring presentations available at TED.com.

NiX - Canada's First Theatre of Snow and Ice - Jan 22 - Feb 27, 2010

In the only Cultural Olympiad presentation in the Sea to Sky corridor, NiX combines fire and ice in an explosive love story to create an extreme theatrical adventure

Bundle up and enter Canada's first theatre of snow and ice. This theatrical adventure, a BC premiere, follows two survivors and an arsonist through the fireworks at the end of the world. NiX is a frozen fantasy, complete with a flaming tuba, a snowman death scene and an explosive love story that will melt the coldest of hearts.

Presented with 2010 Cultural Olympiad. It's the most unique cultural event for winter lovers to ever to come to Whistler

Free Sunday Night 7-Eleven Fire and Ice Show

Whistler Blackcomb turns up the heat every Sunday night with the 7-Eleven Fire & Ice Show at 6:30pm at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola. Fire spinners, fire works and Ski and Snowboard school's hottest pros throwing down big air through a ring of fire makes this event a family-friendly must do. After the show, head upstairs to the GLC's notorious Afterburn Party.
