The King of the Rail is a series of rail jam contests which run on selected nights at the Base of Whistler next to the Fitzsimmons Chair. Separate categories for Snowboarders and Skiers, Male and Female and Adult and Youth.
Category winners will receive a percentage of the cash entry fees as a prize and all participants are entered in to win fantastic draw prizes from Showcase, Burton, Atomic, Nintendo, TELUS, and more...
Schedule and Format
- Competitors can session the rails for 1.5 hours starting at 7pm.
- At 8:30pm, each competitor votes to decide a male and female winner.
- Ballots submitted to an Event Staff head judge who will announce the official winners.
- HELMETS are mandatory, mouthguards are recommended.
Registration Times:
6 to 6:45pm - registration is over once the contest has started.
Rider/Skier Meeting:
Contestants meet at the base of the competition slope at 7:00pm for a brief description of the rules and concepts. All participants must show proof of contest entry at this meeting.
Entry Fee:
$15.00 CASH ONLY - Registration location is in the Whistler Village Showcase retail store.

Important:
All contestants must sign an event
waiver. Competition waivers are valid for the entire season and for all other Whistler Blackcomb on-snow events. Minors need to have
waiver completed by parent/legal guardian. If parent/legal guardian will not be accompanying child to the the registration, waiver should be completed and sent with child. Participants with a Highest Level Terrain Park pass will not have to complete an additional waiver.
