Appleton Rum Peak to Valley Race


The Peak to Valley is a long standing and unique team race on Whistler Mountain. Teams of 4 (one member must be of the opposite sex) race a course which starts on the Whistler Saddle and finishes at Dusty's. Two members race on Friday, two on Saturday. The start order is based on age, with the oldest competitors starting first.

The average GS race has 35 gates and a vertical drop of 250 metres. The Peak to Valley race has a vertical drop of 1,443 metres, with 180 gates and a course that's over 5 km long.

Registration opens July 1, 2008  for the February 6-7, 2009 Peak to Valley Race through the Whistler Blackcomb Reservation Centre. 1-800-766-0449 or locally at 604-932-3434.  Credit card information and full payment must be provided at the time of registration.

Please note: it is highly recommended that all racers wear a helmet.

captain's meeting Mandatory Check In for Team Captains on Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Dustys Bar & BBQ.  This is the last opportunity to make racer substitutions or adjustments and a great time to sign or submit pre-signed waivers
racer check-in February 1 and 2, 2008 from 7:30 - 8:30am at Dusty's Bar & BBQ. Bib pick-up and final Event Waiver signing opportunity.
