The Whistler Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard Cross events are recreational competitions open to participants 9 years and older. Amateur skiers and boarders will compete in different age and discipline divisions on the Nintendo Terrain Park Snowcross course.
Age is calculated as of December 31. 2011.
Please note: the Snowcross events are 2 day events - competitiors must particpate on both days.
Participants (or parent if under 19) must also sign an
Event Waiver and present it to on-mountain registration desk on Saturday morning. Only one event waiver needs to be signed per season. Participants with a Highest Level Terrain Park pass do not need to sign an additional waiver.
Places are limited in each category. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. HELMETS are mandatory.
Registration
Early registration is strongly recommended as places are limited in each category.
Prior to event day, registration is through all Whistler Blackcomb Guest Relations and Ski School Sales locations (Blackcomb Daylodge, Whistler Village Gondola, Whistler Creekside) or by calling the Reservation Centre at 1.800.766.0449.
Day-of registration (if space is available) and bib pick up is at the Rendezvous from 8:30-9:30 am on Saturday only.
Bib pickup on Sunday is at the start of the course.
Please Note: Helmets mandatory - mouthguards recommended.
Clothing Restrictions: Particpants must wear a two part suit with a little bagginess. "Bagginess" is defined as having 4cm loose fabric at the thighs and 3cm at the bicep. Downhill or racing suits are not allowed.
Entry Fee
- $44.80 (HST included) for pre-registered competitors.
- $50 (HST included) if you wait for the event day to sign up and there is still room.
- Entry fee does not include lift access.

Class sizes and breakdown will be adjusted based on pre-registration numbers and event history; classes mayb be merged within gender or age depending on numbers.
Classes do fill up so early registration is recommended.
All classes are amateur.
Format
Day 1 - Training and Timed Seeding Run
Day 2 - Training and Cross Competition
Basic Schedule (Final schedule confirmed on Event Day)
Bib pick up before 9:30 at Rendezvous on Saturday and at the start of the course on Sunday.
Course Inspection at 9:45.
Competitor meeting at 10:15 am.
Training starts at 10:30 am.
Awards
Awards party at 18 Below at Blackcomb's Base 2, with video playback, draw prizes and awards starting Sunday at 4:00 pm. All competitors eligible for great prizes. Participants must be at the awards in order to win prizes.
