WHISTLER CUP.....OLYMPIC DREAMS START HERE
North America's only FIS-sanctioned race for juvenile ski racers age 11-14, takes place on Whistler Mountain April 8th -10th.
Now in it's 19th year, the 2011 Whistler Cup event promises to be a banner year, with 21 national teams and 375 racers planning to attend!
Whistler Cup is the place to watch the future come to life, as this year's young athletes strive to follow in the recent Olympic footprints of former Whistler Cup participants Lindsay Vonn, Julia Mancuso, Anja Paerson, Tina Maze, and Benjamin Raich...not to mention our own Britt and Michael Janyk, Eric Guay, Robbie Dixon, Emily Brydon, and Manuel Osborne-Paradis, to name only a few.
Whistler Cup is the first taste of international competition for many of its young participants...their first chance to compare themselves against the world's very best juvenile racers...their first steps on a path that may lead to future World Cup and Olympic glory.
