Blackcomb Mountain Discovery Tours

Blackcomb Mountain has a very unique south facing alpine eco system that reflex hundreds of years of undisturbed meadows and tarns that you can only experience with us. Take great care to stay on the trails these landscapes are so fragile that even our foot steps could damage its pristine environment. It’s like walking through the Garden of Eden.

Day Hikes - The Sound of Nature

There is a light whistle in the wind as we reach the crest of our hike. It sounds like the sweet melody of beauty in the making. Eco Glacier Walk – Battling Global Warming

Take you to the edge of the Horstman Glacier educate you on how important these glacier are to our planet, strap on a pair of crampons and explore the different features found only on these remarkable geological formations. Glacier Hike – A new way of Hiking

Hiking has a new meaning! Glacier rendonnee is a unique way to enjoy the mountain and experience how it feel to be standing on thousand’s of years old moving ice rivers. Equipped with crampons, ice axe, harness and helmet we trek on and forget about all the rest of the world. The mountains are all yours, how selfish!

Summer Spearhead Traverse - A Classic

Well know as a winter classic on skis, The Spearhead Traverse is also a great summer mountaineering trip. It is an exhilarating 4 day tour from Blackcomb to Whistler Mountain crossing over 12 glaciers and offering you some of the most spectacular mountain sceneries. It is known as the Canadian version of the haute route in the Europe Alps, but the Canadian way, spending each night in a tent. A truly Canadian adventure.

Ice Camp - A Rewarding Experience

The Ice Camp Program is designed for enthusiastic and energetic people wanting to learn the skills required for safe traveling in the mountains. This three day learning camp will teach you the basics of alpinism. The main topics taught at this training are crampons and ice axe technique, self arrest, rope management, crevasse rescue, glacier travel, mountain hazards and risk management. Your reward will be the exhilarating experience to ascent a local summit.
