You Asked, We Listened - Earn Your Chance to Whip It With the Pros during Crankworx Whistler

Bring your whip-game to Crankworx Whistler this year and earn your chance to get sideways with the pros. Crankworx and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park are inviting aspiring riders to Whip It and show their stuff for the chance to compete in the Official Whip-Off World Championships on Thursday, August 14.

By popular demand, the Whip It event will be moving closer to all the action - originally scheduled for Saturday, July 19, this event will now take place during the Crankworx Whistler festivities on August 11. The change will allow more whip-thirsty athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills.

  • Riders must check in at the start before each run, the Starter will control the pace
Judges will be looking for:
  • Height
  • How far around you get your back tire
  • Can you get your tire back inline and land cleanly
  • Style
Judges will be eliminating riders until we get a top 5

Registration:

Pre-registration will be available online until August 10. The registration fee is $10. Riders can also register from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Crankworx Athlete Centre in the Aava Whistler Hotel. Pre-registration is mandatory.
