KIDS PROGRAM 2020

DFX Mini Shredders

Mini Shredders is our DFX program that allows our youngest riders to start exploring the trails on run bikes or pedal bikes. Whether riders are cruising on their run bike, transitioning to a pedal bike or are already shredding on the trails we have a group for them. Our awesome, PMBI qualified coaches will choose trails appropriate to your child’s ability level to help them develop their technique, stamina and skills.

Start Exploring

Coaches in the Mini Shredder program are selected for their passion and experience working with this age group. Coaches will ensure riders have a ton of fun on their bikes but will also do activities off their bikes too. Groups will play games off indoors and outdoors, do crafts, have story time and go on non-biking adventures. Examples of non biking adventures include trips to the Fire Station and the Library, short nature hikes, gondola rides, games at Rebagliati Park, as well as lake time and splash pad, luge and mini golf in the summer. Coaches will balance the amount of time biking depending on the age, ability, motivation and stamina of the whole group as well as the weather conditions each day.

Groups will be formed on age, ability and bike type. Groups may fluctuate as riders improve and will be coached by a core group of coaches that are experts with 3 to 5 year olds. Children need to be 3 by the start date of the program.

Age

Mini Shredders is a preschool program. Children must be 3 before the start date of the program.

For children who have not yet started school, those born before Jan 1, 2016.
