Experience Whistler’s ruggedly breathtaking alpine through the unique perspective of local landscape and time lapse photographer, David McColm.

Interested in experiencing the magic of last light from the Whistler alpine?  Then this Whistler Blackcomb tour needs to be on your photo bucket list!  For a few days each week during July & August, David leads this truck access tour from the base of the mountain to the high alpine.  During the drive up the mountain, David will make stops along the way for you to shoot wildlife and/or the diverse sub-alpine landscape with the ultimate goal being to arrive in the alpine prior to sunset so as to be able to capture the always changing and often magical alpine light. Generally, you will leave the alpine and start driving to the bottom about 20 to 30 min after sunset.

And with just a minimum booking of 4 people, you also have the option of booking a private/custom alpine photography experience with David.  As well, for those interested in shooting the night sky, please enquire about having a later start time so that the tour incorporates an hour or 2 of dark sky!

This tour is for everyone – from those shooting with their phone camera and simply looking to capture a few alpine memories to the more experienced photographer interested in composition, technical/gear issues and time lapse. David will be there for you - to provide instruction, answer your questions, and to share in the alpine experience.
