Who's Eligible?

  • Any post-secondary full-time student attending a school on the pre-approved list from British Columbia or Washington State. If your school is not on the list please inquire by emailing wbstudentpass@vailresorts.com.
  • Full-time is a minimum 3 in-class courses or 9 credit hours in the fall (September – December 2017) or spring (January – April 2018) terms. Distance/online education and apprentice/trades work hours are NOT eligible. Sorry, no exceptions.
  • Masters and PhD students require a letter from their Registrar’s Office confirming fulltime enrollment. Co-op, Apprentice and Blended Learning programs are eligible as long as there are over 100+ hours in-class time between Sept 2017 – Apr 2018.
  • International Students attending a school on the pre-approved list are eligible, as long as full-time requirements are met.
  • BC residents attending school out of Province are eligible as long as they meet the full time requirements. Government issued ID with photo and address will be requested to confirm residency in BC.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  1. Check that you’re eligible for a Student Pass
  2. Purchase your Student Pass online. Not available by phone or at Guest Services.
  3. Come prepared with your student documentation at the Student Pass Pick-up Center located in the basement of the Carleton Lodge, open 8am-2pm, 7 days a week from Opening Day. You will need a copy of your full-time class schedule AND Letter Of Enrollment stating full-time status. In the case of PhD or Masters programs, we will accept the letter of enrollment without a course schedule. Note: You will need to enter your Student ID number and documentation must be on official school letterhead; handwritten paperwork will NOT be accepted.

After you've purchased your pass online, follow the steps below to get your pass and show your student docs:

Step 1: Getting Your Pass. After your purchase online, your pass will be automatically mailed to you- allow 3 weeks.

--If you'd like to ski or ride within 3 weeks or have not received your pass in the mail- you may activate and pick-up your pass at the Student Pass Pick-up Center located in the basement of the Carleton Lodge open 8am-12pm, 7 days a week from Nov. 23 – Jan. 7.

Step 2: Pass Activation. On your first day, you'll need to show your student docs by visiting the Student Pass Pick-up Center located in the basement of the Carleton Lodge open 8am-12pm, 7 days a week from Nov. 23 – Jan. 7.

Yes, all pass holders will need a new RFID Access Card for the 2017.18 season. After your online purchase, you will receive the card in the mail- allow 3 weeks.
If you have proof of BC residency and wish to apply for the Student Pass based on enrollment outside of BC or WA, please put your request in writing to wbstudentpass@vailresorts.com.  Include your name, date of birth, and which school you will be attending. Please be aware any and all exceptions are to the discretion of Pass Administration.
In these cases we will require a letter from your Registrar’s office confirming you are enrolled full-time in one of the above programs.

The Unlimited Pass is a full season pass that allows you to ski Whistler Blackcomb all season long without any restrictions.
EDGE Card is available for Canadian and Washington State residents and is a pre-loaded card with choice of 5 or 10 days. Additional days can be loaded at a daily discounted rate.
