Alpine Forecast Synopsis
Cloudy with wet flurries. Alpine Temperature: High 2 °C. Wind south 30 gusting 50-70 km/h. Freezing Level: 2200 metres.
A well organized Pacific frontal system is now crossing the BC South Coast. The leading warm front of this disturbance will initially provide mild Alpine temperatures with light precipitation today. The trailing cold front will then intensify wet snowfall this evening and allow some sunny periods develop under gusty Ridge top winds for Sunday as the front exits southeastwards.
Conditions will remain slightly unsettled and patchy moist for Sunday and the first half of next week. The next frontal system is expected for midweek but any details with respect to timing or snow amounts are still not settled in the weather models.
