INTRO TO PARK
- 3 hour lesson - includes your lift ticket, lesson & 3 hour rental (full suspension bike, full-face bike helmet & armour).
- For beginner riders - I can comfortably ride on pavement or wide gravel trails, maintain balance and can use hand brakes.
- For XC riders who have never experienced a Bike Park. We will tailor this lesson so you get the most out of it: learn DH skills, learn where to go in the Bike Park. Suitable for XC riders that ride up to “blue tech” cross country trails but rarely leave the ground.
- You will encounter mainly wide open easy freeride dirt trails.

AM Lessons: 10:15am - 10:30am
Meet your coach at the Bike School Hut at the base of Whistler Mountain, located steps away from the G1 rental shop. You will be asked some simple questions about your bike experience, to gauge your ability. To the best of our ability we will separate into groups with similar abilities and mind set when participation numbers allow.
AM Lessons: 10:30am - 1:30pm
Load the gondola and start the day – don’t worry we will show you how!
Some switching between groups may happen throughout the lesson in order to accommodate different rates of progression, stamina, and student goals.
We will start with skill development in our learning area. Our guides will teach the basics in our flat learning areas and give you time to get to know the bike and techniques. Once ready to descend groups will start with our easiest green trail Easy Does It and will progress to more technical trails when the whole group is comfortable and ready. Number of runs will depend on the speed and stamina of each group.
What clothing should I bring?
Please dress appropriately for the weather/temperature. Shorts and T-shirt are fine with a sweater or light pants/track pants/tights for cooler days. We recommend long shorts and no tank tops. Closed toes shoes are required, no sandals or flip flops. You may bring a back pack with water and snacks if you would like but we will stop for water breaks at the top and bottom of each run. We will be riding in all weather, so please be prepared with rain gear and sunscreen!
Guests are required to present the credit card used for purchase upon activity check-in.
